My First Century The weather was good today, with rain forecast for much of the next week. It had to be today. So I set off at 8am, a bit later than planned, for Asuke. It was recommended by Tony, who was there this afternoon with Lowell. Unfortunately I set off late and missed them. But I did find the store okay (it’s close to Higashi Betsuin station). Southern Japan Alps Share on Facebook On May 8, I cycled over to Lowell’s for 6am and myself, Lowell and Tony hopped into the car and headed for Hamamatsu City, where the Tenryu River enters the Pacific. That’s the spot where we will ceremonially dip our back wheels into one ocean before setting off for the one on the other side of Japan.
